It was really difficult to come by food delivery in Seattle when I first moved here in 2009. Coming from just outside NYC, this was a huge culture shock to me that Seattle restaurant delivery wasn’t really a thing.
Luckily tech has made it easier nowadays. Now, you can get delivery from hundreds of restaurants throughout Seattle. This is even more important now that we’re all practicing social distancing in response to the COVID-19 health crisis.
To help you still eat awesome when you’re rockin’ your PJs at home, here is my list of restaurants offering the best food delivery in Seattle, organized by neighborhood. I’ll also share resources at the end for additional restaurants offering takeout.
The Best Food Delivery in Seattle
Here are all my favorite restaurants offering the best food delivery in Seattle. While there are many, many more restaurants that offer delivery, I kept this list to the ones I’ve been to, love, and know have cuisines that hold up well during delivery.
Important: I added which platforms each restaurant offers delivery through, but if it says “direct” please consider ordering delivery from the Seattle restaurant directly so we can help them maximize their profits.
Also, I don’t recommend Bite Squad. I had a shady experience with them where they canceled my order and asked me to email a picture of my credit card. When I called the restaurant they said they don’t accept Bite Squad and never got an order.

North Seattle/Ballard Food Delivery
El Camión
website | cuisine: Mexican | good for veg/vegan? no | delivery service: DoorDash, Postmates
El Camión is one of my favorite cheap casual restaurants in Seattle. Their food truck location is in north Seattle’s Home Depot parking lot, but they also have locations in West Seattle, Roosevelt, and Sandpoint.
They make the best carnitas I’ve had, so get them in a taco or burrito when you order delivery. In fact, they’re on my list of the best street tacos in Seattle!
El Moose
website | cuisine: Mexican | good for veg/vegan? no | delivery service: Caviar, UberEats, Seamless, Postmates
Since they’re on my list of the best brunch spots in Seattle, I consider El Moose (previously known as Señor Moose) one of the best delivery in Seattle options for breakfast or brunch. I’m obsessed with their chilaquiles, both of which are extremely flavorful dishes for beef eaters.
I love it so much, they’re a stop on my self-guided Ballard food tour.
Mr. Gyro’s
website | cuisine: Middle Eastern | good for veg/vegan? yes | delivery service: Caviar, Grubhub, DoorDash
Mr. Gyro’s has both a Ballard and Wallingford location. I haven’t had a better lamb gyro sandwich (though Taki’s Mad Greek in Crown Hill is close), and their chicken shawarma plate has such a yummy combination of sides. When I’m craving Mediterranean street food, Mr. Gyro’s is one of my go-to Seattle restaurants.
Arashi Ramen
website | cuisine: ramen | good for veg/vegan? no | delivery service: UberEats, DoorDash, Caviar
Arashi serves my favorite ramen in the city. Get their black garlic bowl with extra pork belly. You won’t be disappointed.
Note they also have a location in Tukwila serving South Seattle residents.
Saffron Grill
website | cuisine: Indian | good for veg/vegan? yes | delivery service: Caviar
Indian food always makes for some of the best food delivery in Seattle because it packs well and gets better the longer it sits. Saffron Grill near Northgate Mall is one of my favorite Indian restaurants in Seattle. They serve naan as big as your head and the tikka paneer appetizer is not to be missed.
Wallingford/Fremont Food Delivery
Royal Grinders
website | cuisine: sandwiches | good for veg/vegan? no | delivery service: Any of them
Royal Grinders is available for delivery through all the food-delivery services in Seattle. Their pressed panini sandwiches make for an excellent option if you need lunch delivery in Seattle. My go-to is the chicken pesto grinder, which rivals some of the best Seattle sandwiches.
Cafe Turko
website | cuisine: Turkish | good for veg/vegan? yes | delivery service: DoorDash, UberEats
Cafe Turko is one of my favorite cheap eats in Seattle and one of the best restaurants in North Seattle. I’m obsessed with their beyti kebab, which is lamb served in a quesadilla-like thing with tomato sauce on the side. They also make a fantastic rainbow hummus sampler with a traditional, pumpkin, and beet hummus trio. This is a great lunch delivery in Seattle option because the hummus keeps well for multiple days.
They’re one of the stops on my self-guided Fremont food tour if you want to visit them in real life.
Dumpling the Noodle
website | cuisine: Chinese | good for veg/vegan? yes | delivery service: Direct from restaurant
Dumpling the Noodle is a relatively new Chinese restaurant. They make excellent hand-shaven noodles in their Chili the Beef Lamen dish. I’ve never had anything like it, with its earthy flavors and a viscosity like there’s peanut butter in it. They also make excellent wontons, dumplings, and pork buns.
Greenwood/Phinney Food Delivery
Windy City Pie
website | cuisine: pizza | good for veg/vegan? no | delivery service: Caviar
Windy City serves Chicago-style pizza that can easily feed a family of 4 with one pie. They’re super thick and crazy gluttonous, which hey we all need sometimes. One of the best pizzas in Seattle is their Meatza pie with bacon, sausage, and pepperoni.
Valhalla Sandwiches
website | cuisine: sandwiches | good for veg/vegan? yes | delivery service: Grubhub, Uber Eats, DoorDash, Postmates
Valhalla is one of my new go-to delivery and takeout orders. They make exceptional sandwiches with creative flavors that hold up well during transit. My favorite is the Thanksgetting, which is a play on the sandwich you make with Thanksgiving leftovers. They also have to-die for sweet potato tots.
Nutty Squirrel
website | cuisine: gelato | good for veg/vegan? veg yes, vegan no | delivery service: direct from restaurant
Nutty Squirrel made it onto my list of the best ice cream shops in Seattle, and now it’s available via delivery thanks to Doordash. Make sure to get the Nutty Squirrel signature flavor with nuts and chocolate. It’s my go-to order!
Green Lake Food Delivery
Bongos
website | cuisine: Caribbean | good for veg/vegan? no | delivery service: Grubhub
Bongos has a cult following, so it’s definitely one of the best options for food delivery in Seattle. They often sell out of their pork, but I secretly love their shrimp (either as a plate or in a ‘po boy sandwich).
Queen Anne/Uptown/South Lake Union Food Delivery
Bounty Kitchen
website | cuisine: American | good for veg/vegan? yes | delivery service: Caviar
Bounty Kitchen is one of the best Seattle healthy restaurants. You typically order at the counter, but now you can get them delivered to your door. My go-to order is the good morning tomato sandwich.
They also have a location in Denny Triangle, which is one of the best South Lake Union restaurants, and Capitol Hill.
G.H. Pasta Co.
website | cuisine: Italian | good for veg/vegan? veg yes, vegan no | delivery service: Uber Eats, Doordash, Postmates, Caviar
G.H. is the perfect takeout menu when you need a pasta fix without the stuffiness of a fancier Italian restaurant. They cater to the busy lunch crowd in SLU and so make casual pasta dishes for under $14. My go-to order is the tonnarelli with truffle butter, cheese, and black pepper. It’s a interesting take on a cacio e pepe thanks to the addition of earthy truffles.
Belltown/Downtown/Pioneer Square Food Delivery
FOB Poke Bar
website | cuisine: poke | good for veg/vegan? no | delivery service: Caviar
“Fresh of the Boat” Poke Bar made it to my list of the best poke in Seattle. Luckily it also makes this list of the best food delivery in Seattle thanks to Caviar. Pro tip: get a half-in-half sauce order to be able to try more flavors.
Note they also have a location in Capitol Hill.
Din Tai Fung
website | cuisine: Taiwanese | good for veg/vegan? no | delivery service: DoorDash, Postmates, Caviar
Din Tai Fung often has a long wait, but now you can get their irresistible dim sum dishes direct to your door. This is one of my favorite food delivery in Seattle options because it’s great for feeding a crowd. Make sure some of my go-tos are in your order: soup dumplings, pork and shrimp shumai, spicy cucumbers, spicy wontons, and rice cakes.
Piroshky Piroshky
website | cuisine: Russian | good for veg/vegan? veg yes, vegan no | delivery service: direct
This Russian bakery serves the most addictive stuffed pastries. I love their savory ones with meat, mushroom, cheese, etc. but they also have vegetarian options. If you don’t get a chance to visit them during a Pike Place Market tour, at least you can enjoy them at home!
Capitol Hill/First Hill Food Delivery
Due’ Cucina
website | cuisine: pasta | good for veg/vegan? veg yes, vegan no | delivery service: direct from restaurant
Due’ has one of the most interesting cacio e pepe pastas I’ve ever had. It has pink peppercorns instead of the traditional black, which got it a spot on my roundup of the Italian restaurants serving the best pasta in Seattle.
Spice Waala
website | cuisine: Indian | good for veg/vegan? yes | delivery service: UberEats, DoorDash
My friend introduced me to Spice Waala and it’s now one of my favorite Indian restaurants in Seattle. We went for one of their khati rolls as a “dessert” after dinner and I was hooked. Get the paneer or aloo tikka roll “calcutta style”, which comes with a fried egg.
Aviv Hummus Bar
website | cuisine: Middle Eastern | good for veg/vegan? yes | delivery service: DoorDash
Aviv has some of the best hummus around and now you can get it in neighborhoods beyond their Capitol Hill location. I love their thick fluffy pitas, especially when served in their sabich sandwich.
U-District/Ravenna/Roosevelt Food Delivery
Araya’s Place
website | cuisine: Thai | good for veg/vegan? yes | delivery service: Caviar
Araya’s place is a fully vegan Thai restaurant that’s on my lists of both best vegan restaurants in Seattle and the best Thai restaurants in Seattle. This is one of the best Seattle food delivery options for vegans. My go-to is the banana curry!
Veggie Grill
website | cuisine: vegan | good for veg/vegan? yes | delivery service: Grubhub, DoorDash, Postmates
Eff’ it, I don’t care if Veggie Grill is a chain. I’m obsessed with its Sonoran Bowl and get it literally every time I eat in University Village. If you’re a vegan or vegetarian, or just want something healthier, I can’t recommend this place enough for the best food delivery in Seattle.
The Counter at Old Ballard Catering
website | cuisine: American | good for veg/vegan? yes | delivery service: Grubhub, DoorDash, Uber Eats, Postmates
Don’t be confused like I was by this restaurant’s name. They are not, in fact, in Ballard, but actually in Ravenna. I made that mistake when I ordered takeout and had to drive 30 minutes each way for my meal. But the upside? I learned their food is excellent when sitting around at least an hour before eating it. My go-to order? Their fried chicken if it’s Friday and their Greek fries every other day.
Chinatown-International District/Central District Food Delivery
7 Stars Pepper
website | cuisine: Szechuan | good for veg/vegan? veg yes, vegan no | delivery service: Grubhub
I used to come to this ID restaurant all the time when I moved here. I love their Mongolian beef and egg flower soup. Make sure they’re in your order!
Pho Bac Sup Shop
website | cuisine: Vietnamese | good for veg/vegan? no | delivery service: DoorDash, Caviar
Pho Bac makes excellent pho soup and now you can get it delivered to your door. My go-to is the short rib pho with the Flintstone-sized bone.
Harbor City
website | cuisine: Chinese | good for veg/vegan? no | delivery service: Caviar, Grubhub
Harbor City is my go-to dim sum spot in Seattle (pro tip: you can make a reservation). For delivery, make sure to get their green beans, honey walnut prawns, and pan-fried shrimp and scallion dumplings.
Med Mix
website | cuisine: Mediterranean | good for veg/vegan? yes | delivery service: Grubhub, DoorDash, Uber Eats
This might be my favorite all-around Mediterranean restaurant in Seattle. They make excellent hummus, babaganoush, gyro meat, and even Greek fries.
Seattle Fish Guys
website | cuisine: seafood/poke | good for veg/vegan? no | delivery service: UberEats
Seattle Fish Guys is another spot on my best poke in Seattle list. They serve hefty portions of traditional Hawaiian-style poke alongside orders of fish to take home.
West Seattle Food Delivery
Seattle Fish Company
website | cuisine: seafood | good for veg/vegan? no | delivery service: Grubbub, DoorDash, Postmates
Seattle Fish Company is a twofer: It’s both one of the best fish restaurants in Seattle and a best places to buy seafood in Seattle. That’s because they’re mainly a fishmonger, but they have a grill serving yummy sea shack-style food. Get the captain’s sampler, smoked salmon chowder, and clam chowder poutine. A lot of non-West Seattle residents don’t know about them since they’re at the end of California Ave SW, so order delivery to give them a try!
Supreme
website | cuisine: pizza | good for veg/vegan? yes veg, no vegan | delivery service: Direct from restaurant
Supreme is right next door to the popular barbecue restaurant Lady Jaye. They’re a legit New York-style pizza joint serving huge slices and even bigger pies. They’re one of my favorite West Seattle restaurants, so give them a try!
Grillbird Teriyaki
website | cuisine: Japanese-Hawaiian fusion | good for veg/vegan? yes | delivery service: Uber Eats
I’m not a fan of teriyaki unless it’s Grillbird’s. I usually find it too saucy and sweet with questionable meat quality, but Grillbird surpasses my expectations in both those categories.
Falafel Salam
website | cuisine: Middle Eastern | good for veg/vegan? yes | delivery service: Grubhub, DoorDash
Falafel Salam is another awesome Middle Eastern/Mediterranean restaurant in Seattle. I love getting their Hesitator plate since it has a bit of everything on it. You can also order pantry items and skip grocery shopping.
South Seattle Food Delivery
The Comfort Zone
website | cuisine: Southern | good for veg/vegan? no | delivery service: Grubhub, Postmates, Uber Eats, Seamless
The Comfort Zone is one of my favorite Columbia City restaurants (they also have a Mt. Baker location). They make an excellent fried chicken sandwich, but the pro move is to make sure you get a side of meatloaf no matter what you order.
Bakes from the Hart
website | cuisine: pie | good for veg/vegan? veg yes, vegan no | delivery service: Grubhub, Uber Eats, Postmates, DoorDash
Baked from the Hart makes excellent pies in both full and mini sizes. You used to be able to only get them via pickup, but now you can get their awesome pies right to your door. My go-to is the sweet potato pie.
Amy’s Mercato
website | cuisine: Ethiopian-Mediterranean fusion | good for veg/vegan? yes | delivery service: DoorDash, Uber Eats
Amy’s is one of the best Ethiopian restaurants in the city, but they don’t stop there. You can also get Mediterranean specialties like falafel and even Southern classics like a catfish sandwich.
More Seattle Food Delivery
Here are restaurants either without a permanent location that deliver to you directly, or that have a wide delivery range.
Setolicious
website | cuisine: Chinese wontons | good for veg/vegan? no | delivery service: direct from restaurant
Mother and daughter, Catherine and Niki Gerlach, had been talking about starting a business selling their wontons for years, but it wasn’t until Catherine was furloughed during COVID that they finally decided to do it. Now they’re making wontons by hand using their family’s Mandarin-style techniques and booking deliveries at least a week in advance. They don’t have a brick and mortar, but deliver direct to customers around Seattle and the eastside.
This is how it works: place your order via the Smartsheets URL linked from Setolicious’s Instagram or Facebook profile. Each bag includes 12 frozen wontons. There’s a minimum of 2 bags per order for $30 and each additional bag is $12. Once Catherine and Niki confirm your order and delivery date, pay them via Venmo or Cashapp. On that day they’ll deliver it right to your door if you’re in the greater Seattle area.
Your delivery will include frozen wontons, spicy sauce, white pepper, chicken broth packets, and directions. You simply boil the water, add the chicken broth packet, and then boil the raw dumplings until cooked. When you’re ready to serve, season it with the pepper and spicy sauce and top with scallions. In less than 20 minutes, you’ll have fresh wonton soup that tastes like you spent hours cooking. I absolutely loved the texture of the pork filling and the depth of flavor from the sauce. These are perfect to have on hand when you need a quick meal, so even if you already have dinner plans this week, place your order now!
Rubinstein Bagels
website | cuisine: bagels | good for veg/vegan? yes | delivery service: Direct from restaurant
Rubinstein makes the best bagels in Seattle and you can get them regardless of where you live in the city with their generous delivery radius. They make New York-style bagels with schmears that are perfect for breakfast and lunch.
Frelard Tamales
website | cuisine: Mexican | good for veg/vegan? yes | delivery service: Direct from restaurant
Frelard Tamales has a brick and mortar location in Fremont, but they deliver to the greater Seattle area. They make the best tamales I’ve had, super big and perfect fresh or frozen.
Pagliacci
website | cuisine: pizza | good for veg/vegan? yes | delivery service: Direct from restaurant
Sure, Pagliacci is a chain, but they make some of my favorite New York-style pizza in Seattle. My go-to order is the plain cheese and chopped salad.
Pike Place Chowder
website | cuisine: seafood | good for veg/vegan? no | delivery service: Direct from restaurant
Insiders know you can skip this spot when visiting Pike Place Market. That’s not because it’s not good, but rather they ship their excellent chowders nationwide. So no matter where you are you can get some of the best clam chowder in Seattle.
