When perusing Totokaelo a few weeks ago, I came across some beautiful minimalist rings by Mociun. I was drooling and needed to check out what else was available in the collection.
I found out the line is the brain child of Caitlin Mociun, and she makes more than just jewelry. She designs jewelry, clothing, accessories, and even ceramics for both men and women. The aesthetic? Graphic. She draws inspiration from the Bauhaus movement and photographer Karl Blossfeldt.
Besides the striking designs, what really draws me to Mociun is that she uses sustainable products whenever possible. She strives to use recycled, organic and alternative materials, and frequently uses local production in hopes of giving back to the community.
While all of her products are amazing, the jewelry steals the show. I featured one of my favorite pieces of Mociun’s jewelry in my 2012 birthday wish list post. However, here are some of my other favorite pieces from her current collection.
Oh, and Mociun reflects even more of her cool-girl style on her blog. A delightful and inspiring read.
