All this rainy weather really makes us appreciate our tall Hunter boots. These are probably hands down one of the best purchases we’ve ever made. Comfortable, waterproof, indestructible…you name it, this boot has it. They are even comfortable without socks, while most other boots can cause blisters when worn sock-free. Hunter managed to mold functionality with fashion, with its tall boot hitting at the perfect height right below the knee. Plus we love the hardware on the sides that give it a little extra toughness (though you do need to get used to crossing your legs and avoiding the buckles). We chose it in black, but Hunter boots come in a variety of colors. We love pairing this tall version with pencil skirts and dresses, giving an otherwise conservative outfit a gritty touch. For men, we’re a big fan of the calf height boot with jeans tucked in. No matter what color or style, we are positive you won’t regret this purchase. And trust us, they make a statement. You would think in Seattle, where rain is a given, that these ordinary rain boots wouldn’t draw stares from onlookers. However, we can’t think of one instance where we didn’t get double-takes or comments when wearing these boots.
