Welcome to “Beauty Products We’re Dying to Try,” a new subset of the Covet Fridays series that highlights our obsession with beauty & grooming products.
We are on a constant mission to reduce dark circles.
Besides dry skin, this is the second most common skin problem among the both of us.
We currently use Boscia’s Enliving Amino-AG Eye Treatment, which works fine and gets brownie points for being eco-conscious. However, we don’t want just “fine.” We want flawless. Perfect. Ground-breaking.
We’re not sure it’s possible, since we’ve tried countless products, none which are memorable.
However, our addiction keeps us coming back for more. We scoured the beauty products out there and came up with this ultimate list of dark circle diminishers that we just have to try. We even gave a brief description of each to help you narrow down which one you’ll try first.
Have you tried any of these? Any products you swear by? Tell us in the comments!
1. By Terry Eclat de Teint Pinceau Undereye Concealer – $49.50: This “revolutionary” lightweight under-eye concealer is designed to disguise dark circles and imperfections, while smoothing fine lines.
2. Jurlique Herbal Recovery Eye Cream – $40: Sephora always recommends Jurlique for an organic alternative. It was between this puffiness, dark circle cream and the Boscia that we use. Since the former won, we can’t stop thinking about how we want to try this one, too.
3. Lancome Renergie Eye Multiple Actions – $75: We were intrigued by this 2-part eye treatment which claims to do the following: 1) lift eyelids, 2) erase fine lines and wrinkles, 3) make the eye contour look firmer, 4) diminish under-eye bags, 5) fade dark circles, 6) and illuminate the eye contour Lots of claims, lots of potential benefits.
4. First Aid Beauty Detox Eye Roller – $24: Claims to revitalize, smooth, and brightens the eye area. One of its active ingredients is caffeine, which constricts fine blood vessels that cause dark under eye circles.
5. L’Oréal Paris Youth Code Eye Cream – $25: L’Oréal throws around a lot of fancy “science” words, claiming that this little tube is your solution to de-puffing under eye bags and diminishing dark circles with its light-diffusing micro pearls.
6. Clinique All About Eyes Serum De-Puffing Eye Massage – $26: Claims that the cooling roller ball removes bags and dark circles while refreshing and hydrating puffy eyes.
7. Clinique All About Eyes – $29: What really attracted us to this is you can use it day or night, even underneath makeup. The cream-gel formula brightens circles and has a cooling effect to reduce eye puffiness.
8. Ole Henriksen Truth is in the Eyes – $65: An exfoliant? For the eyes? Diminishes dark circles and lines? Is organic? Sign us up!
9. By Terry Hyaluronic Eye Primer – $46: While this product doesn’t directly diminish circles, any woman knows a primer is essential for an under-eye concealer to work properly. We’ve heard a lot of good things about this one, which claims to “contain a unique formulation which helps boost the benefits of it’s potent filling, moisturizing and re-plumping active ingredient.”
10. Perfekt Eye Correction Gel – $45: Talk about marketing; they had us at “multi-tasking” and “airbrushed.” Or maybe it was “cucumber extract” and “light-reflecting.” This tinted cream can also be used as a primer for makeup, which makes us fall in love with it even more.
11. The Body Shop Vitamin C Revival Duo – $22: Anything that comes in twos is a win for us. We love the portability of this button-sized product. The Revive Gel rollerball stimulates the eye area. The Eye Radiance cream hydrates and revives delicate skin and provides UVA/UVB sunscreen protection.
