I took a quick trip to Victoria, B.C. the weekend before last and I needed some comfy travel style to get me through the trip. We left at 8 am on Saturday and started sightseeing immediately upon arrival. Since we were sitting for about three hours, I needed something that would let me relax but also wouldn’t make me look like a total slob when we landed.
How to Rock a Comfy Travel Style
This is the look I decided on: a lot of lounge with a little bit of class.
Sweatpants
I bought these fitted sweatpants a few years ago at Whistles while visiting London. And I wear them pretty much every weekend because they go with everything. And also look a bit more stylized than the sweats I used to rock in middle school.
I decided to pair it with another combo I wear a ton:
A red flannel shirt, marled sweater, and a chunky statement necklace. I usually wear it with skinny jeans. But I’m starting to think sweats are the way to go from now on.
The last piece I take when I always travel is my Wheelmen & Co. backpack.
I picked it up as a birthday present to myself at Trouvaille, a vintage and handmade goods that used to be in Ballard. It has a waxed interior. And waterproof, bright orange interior. I get compliments on it all the time and can definitely say it was worth the investment.
This might become my new comfy travel style. What’s yours?
