I stumbled across Michelle Morin’s artwork a couple years ago before I even knew her name.
I saw this image on Pinterest, but it was hosted on Tumblr with no source link. I kept coming back to it as I added more decor and furnishings to my new apartment, so I finally decided to do a reverse image search to figure out who the heck made it.

I finally purchased the above whale watercolor in an 11×14″ print. It’s sitting in a white gallery frame on my end table next to the couch, leaning against the wall. The purples and mauve go perfectly with the grays and blues in my living room, and I love the organic, hand-drawn feel of her work.
Besides the impeccable detail of her work, the best part is her prints are super affordable. Yes, you heard that right: affordable watercolor art that doesn’t look cheap. This came as a pleasant surprise considering everything I like tends to be hundreds of dollars! The print was only $40. FORTY DOLLARS.
